At AMD Converting & Label, we also excel at converting many other flexible materials. One case we laminate an adhesive to a lead sheet, which is then fabricated to the end material. The key to the success of this project was to specify the proper adhesive and to be able to set the pressure correctly on the laminator as to not distort the soft lead material.
CHALLENGE
A Metrology calibration company was having trouble with the wearing off of ink on gauges that they had calibrated. Over the cycle time between calibrations the information was wearing off the label and became illegible.
SOLUTION
AMD printed the labels and laminated a protective coating with adhesive and quick release liner that is used to protect the calibration information.
RESULT
Perfect results that gave their customers satisfaction.
